Good School in Merton

VNA Education are looking for an English Teacher on a permanent basis for a fantastic school in Merton. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, helping to prepare students for their GCSE’s and A levels. The candidate must have experience working in a UK secondary school and be fully qualified.

General duties of the English Teacher will be:

  • Excellent Communication: Clear and effective communication skills in verbal and written forms.
  • Passionate about English: Genuine enthusiasm for literature and language, inspiring students' interest.
  • Subject Mastery: In-depth knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
  • Adaptability: Flexible teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Empathy and Collaboration: Understanding students' needs and collaborating with colleagues for student success.
  • Providing safeguarding and pastoral support.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified teacher with experience of teaching English in a UK secondary school.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
