Accelerate Teaching, located in Kirklees, is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join our dynamic team at a Secondary School. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons to secondary school students, fostering their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and exploration of literature.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular activities and projects that enhance the learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in English or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a proven track record of helping students achieve their full potential.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for English, including assessment criteria and examination requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Passion for continuous professional development and a commitment to staying updated on best practices in teaching and learning.
