Tax Support Administrator

Salary up to £35,000 (depending on relevant experience)

Hybrid role (3 days per week)

Based in Canary Wharf

Full time, permanent role

Cedar have partnered with a top 15 Accountancy Practice who are looking for a proactive and driven Tax Support Administrator to join their expanding team.

The Tax Support Administrator will play a pivotal role in providing technical administrative support to the VAT & Indirect Tax Division and the broader Tax team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Onboarding clients to the tax team, ensuring completion of Know Your Client (KYC) forms, including checks on Acuris Risk Intelligence (ARI) and other relevant platforms.
  • Preparation of self-assessment Tax Return Questionnaires and letters for clients.
  • Preparation of PowerPoint presentations and proposals.
  • Assisting with billing processes, including bill creation and time write-offs.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as preparing letters of engagement, managing expenses, and coordinating print and post requests.
  • Managing CCH database administration, ensuring updates and generating reports.
  • Maintaining HMRC user access and relevant registers, including no longer acting (NLA) data.
  • Providing support for scanning and distribution of mail, both physical and digital.
  • Assisting with reception cover during peak times.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in a similar Tax administrative role.
  • Previous experience in the professional services sector is preferred.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Exceptional written English skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint and Visio skills are required.
