This exciting opportunity for a talented Semi Senior with a specialist interest in tax is based in Newport and will offer a studying accountant working at either Junior or Semi Senior a very bright future indeed.

You’ll be an ACA, ACCA, CA , ATT or CTA studier, ideally a finalist and have some general accounting experience with some of it in a tax-based role. You’ll certainly be comfortable completing tax computations and communicating directly with clients and senior managers and you’ll be at the point in your career where specialising in tax feels like your direction of travel.

Job Purpose

  • To prepare tax computations for the firm’s valued portfolio of clients, many of whom are large firms and groups and have large annual turnovers.
  • Handle ad hoc tax matters.
  • To support the Tax Managers and Partners with all ad hoc tasks.
  • Payroll and PAYE experience.
  • Computation of personal tax liabilities.?
  • UK tax arrival/departure briefings.
  • Liaising with HMRC and other third parties in relation to tax matters.
  • Additional tax compliance work and submissions.
  • Providing tax information to audit team in a timely manner.
  • Supporting clients with queries.
  • Assist with tax advisory projects.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment.?
