Are you an experienced Personal Tax professional, looking for an opportunity to join a Boutique Accounting firm and make strategic decisions for the Tax team?

This Tax Manager position will be working with a 4 Partner firm, an around 30 employees. You will be the lead for the Tax function, with over 500 PCT clients in place already and you will be responsible for the strategic decision making, putting your own stamp on the function and working with the Partners to grow the service line.

What you will do in your new role:

  • Hold responsibility for the Tax function, consisting currently of over 500 PCT clients
  • Report directly to the Partners, with the ability to drive strategic decisions looking into new revenue streams, and growing current fee line
  • Direct line management currently of 1 Tax Assistant, with the business keen to make a hire to take this to 2.
  • Work on full range of Personal Tax areas from Tax Returns, to Inheritance Tax Advice, Trusts work to HMRC Queries.


What you will need:

  • Strong experience around Personal Tax, and knowledge of a broad base of Private Client Tax areas
  • Experience working with a smaller business where there is a need to drive decision making
  • Ability to manage a small team and drive hiring decisions
  • Desire to work with Partners to grow the function and build the team over a period of time
