Tax Accountant

Are you looking to work for a leading accountancy practice based in Hereford? Do you have accounting experience of any level looking to move into a tax related position? Paying a wide salary of £25,000 - £55,000 dependant on experience. Working Monday – Friday 37.5 hours a week you’ll be working within the tax team providing personalised accounting services to a broad range of clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses, covering the following areas; income, corporation, capital gains, inheritance, VAT and a small element of overseas.
• Work with a wide range of clients including; Trusts, High Net Worth Individuals, large, medium and small companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Support senior team members in providing tax planning and advisory services.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax purposes.
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.

Skills and Attributes:

• Ideally AAT/ATT qualified (or equivalent)
• Part qualified ACCA/ACA who is looking to specialise in taxation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills written and verbal.
