Tax Accountant

Are you looking a Part-Time Tax role within a FTSE listed business? This could be a great opportunity to join a very exciting business in the Healthcare space as a Tax Accountant and work on a part-time basis (c. 3 days per week).

The business are doing extremely well, and the Head of Tax is now keen to hire 2 new people into the Tax team, one of which would be a Part-Time Direct Tax Accountant. The role would be based from the Reading office, with a hybrid pattern meaning you would only need to be in the office 1 day a week.

The team is relatively lean for the size of the business as a lot of the work is outsourced currently and so this should be seen as a superb chance to get involved in some really exciting projects around Corporate Tax, looking into things such as Tax Provisions, Capital Allowances, and Tax Forecasting.

What you will do in the role:

• Delivery of the Corporation Tax cycle across the group and subsidiaries
• Managing one direct report who will prepare Tax Returns, with your responsibility to review these and be directly involved when they are away
• Review and Advise on R&D Relief claims
• Provide advice to subsidiary business units on various areas of Corporate Tax including Deductions, Transfer Pricing, Shared Responsibility and more!

What you will need:

• Experience within Direct Tax Accounting and/or Corporate Tax
• Statutory Tax Accounting experience
• Experience with AlphaTax would be highly beneficial
• Tax Compliance background
