Position: Systems Engineer

Location: Crewe, Cheshire, UK

This is a temporary role for a duration of 12 months, offering an attractive hourly rate starting from £31. About the Role:

As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with our client's talented functional managers to deliver their product ambitions and shape their Beyond100 strategy. In this dynamic environment, you will coordinate Systems Engineering deliverables, working closely with both Vehicle Motion Systems Engineering and Functional Engineering structures. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Group Companies, and Tier 1 suppliers to deliver world-class electric vehicle products. From project concept stages to final sign-off, you will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders and ensure an exceptional driving experience for the end customer.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project tasks between engineers from relevant functions and the Systems Engineering Project Team.
  • Develop and maintain project delivery timing plans and budget through effective consultation with Vehicle Motion teams.
  • Facilitate technical discussions with stakeholders, addressing attribute gaps and closure mechanisms.
  • Liaise with Group counterparts on relevant topics.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment within the Vehicle Motion department.

Skills and Experience:

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Engineering experience with a focus on chassis and/or powertrain systems delivery.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes within an automotive engineering environment.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timing plans and track budget efficiently.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment and embrace change.
