Systems Engineering Consultant - Space, Defence, Nuclear, NATO, Security

Our client specialises in the provision of Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) to deliver Systems Engineering Services to government and industry, using its core skills in Systems Engineering, Operational Research (OR), and Cost and Risk Analysis. By drawing on best practice methods and techniques in each of these domains the individuals can develop innovative methodologies with the necessary quality and rigour to support the early analysis and definition of Systems Engineering tasks, projects and programmes.

The company’s experience in the nuclear, defence, space, security and transport sectors of the UK and NATO enables their team to provide a tailorable and scalable solutions to support a diverse stakeholder group and community of varying sizes and complexity. Our client can provide systems engineering support for a company’s product, service or enterprise level systems. They can also provide a tailored solution for systems engineering within a managed life cycle and offer a collaborative approach, working with other engineering, analysis and management disciplines and specialisms.

Their capabilities cover the full lifecycle from Requirements Engineering; Architecture Development; Systems Analysis, Analysis of Alternatives; Integration Verification Validation and Testing; through to Sustainment; Disposal and Replacement.

Our client is looking for Systems Engineers, Systems Architects, Enterprise Systems Engineers,

Candidates with ISTAR, SPACE, SATELLITE SYSTEMS experience highly desirable

Systems Engineers will require expertise in some or all of the following skills:

  • ?Systems Engineering Lifecycle
  • Requirements Analysis
  • Systems Specifications
  • High Level Systems Design
  • Systems Analysis
  • Be familiar with the V-Model
  • Space Systems development or Space Systems Operation
  • ITiL or eTOM
  • European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) Standards useful
  • Defining, analysing and documenting requirements (incl. use of DOORS)
  • Tools and techniques to develop concepts and architectural solutions including MODAF
  • Satellite Systems Toolkit (STK)
  • Technology and capability roadmapping
  • Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation

Qualifications - Systems Engineer, Systems Architects:

Degree, MSc, PhD or equivalent relevant experience

Successful candidates will have relevant expertise and able to support its growing operations in the South & Southwest, with successful candidates able to work from home and on clients’ sites as required

Candidates need to hold current SC or DV Security Clearance

Locations - South, Southwest, Portsmouth, Bristol, Corsham, Wiltshire, hybrid working

Salary - £50K-£70K plus pension, life assurance
