Arthur is partnered with a Global (Re)Insurer who is hiring a Syndicate Planning Manager to join their team in London.

This role will collaborate closely with the Syndicate Active Underwriter to lead the annual syndicate business forecast process in alignment with the company’s strategic plans.

As the main liaison between the Lloyd’s syndicate performance manager and syndicate team, you will maintain a positive relationship with Lloyd’s and your primary responsibility will be to provide valuable business insights and analytics to syndicate leadership and underwriting teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the syndicate business forecast submission process and reporting.
  • Manage the specialty insurance planning process for the syndicate.
  • Act as the liaison between Lloyd’s and the syndicate, handling month meetings, new initiative submissions and quarterly returns.
  • Conduct tailored business analyses to facilitate informed decision-making for underwriting teams and management.
  • Support syndicate strategic initiative and provide quarterly reporting to the syndicate board of directors.
  • Manage periodic regulatory reporting requirements and collaborate with pricing and reserving teams.

We are seeking candidates with a range of essential experience and competencies for this role. This includes familiarity with the planning and performance monitoring procedures at Lloyd’s, a strong grasp of specialty insurance products, and a knowledge of insurance account principles.
