Main Purpose of Job:

  • The Syndicate Client Manager plays a pivotal role in nurturing the partnership between client and managed syndicates. Responsible for fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across syndicates and Lloyd’s.
  • This role ensures seamless operations within regulatory frameworks.
  • Collaborating closely with syndicate boards, the Syndicate Client Manager serves as a liaison, advocating for both provider and the syndicate's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate robust communication between senior syndicate staff and client serving as a primary point of contact for issue resolution and maintaining a connection with Syndicate Board chairs.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of syndicate needs and service offering, aligning strategic objectives and seeking cross-sell opportunities within the wider group.
  • Partner with the Business Development team to onboard and integrate new syndicates, ensuring clear expectations and processes alignment.
  • Proactively address long-standing actions or issues, collaborating across functions to achieve resolution.
  • Manage syndicates in transition, including novations, RITCs, and transitions to full syndicates.
  • Support internal governance framework by participating in Syndicate Boards and committees, providing reports and support to the Head of Client Management.
  • Foster knowledge sharing across functions to enhance service quality to syndicates.

Key Personal Skills Required:

  • Comprehensive understanding of syndicate operations within the Lloyd’s market.
  • Profound knowledge of Lloyd’s Managing Agencies responsibilities.
  • Experience in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders.
