Job Opportunity: Switchboard Operator

Location: Nottingham
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: Temp to perm basis paying £11.44 per hour.

Role Overview:
As a Switchboard/FSD Operator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality telephone answering and FSD helpdesk services. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will be the frontline communicator for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming phone calls and directing them appropriately
  • Taking messages and ensuring timely delivery to the intended recipients
  • Efficiently transferring calls to the relevant departments or individuals
  • Monitoring the FSD mailbox and promptly responding to all emails
  • Managing room bookings for the site
  • Overseeing the Access management system, issuing new starter and replacement cards/passes
  • Handling stationery and catering consumables orders
  • Providing exceptional customer service and managing expectations
  • Liaising with various stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships
  • Understanding and operating procedures and processes to the required standard
  • Clear and effective communication of messages and ideas
  • Fulfilling any reasonable requests from management

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs

Training:

  • Excellent PC skills, with experience in Word/Excel and Outlook

Experience:

  • Desirable: 2 years' experience in a similar role with switchboard operation experience
  • Desirable: Some financial/accounting experience may be advantageous
