Job Description

To be a key part of the LGMS Team delivering a market leading client and industry facing technical relationship proposition. As part of the LGMS distribution team identify, engage and unlock target distribution opportunities whilst continuing to manage, drive and retain existing relationships. To engage with key external and internal stakeholders, including counterparts across L&G Group, and to develop an effective network that allows the development of commercial and technical opportunities and proposition ideas.

What you will be doing:
  • Support the Head of Strategic Accounts, Lender and Head of Professional Services with pitch development and delivery across all aspects of the sales lifecycle to ensure that LGMS is the partner of choice and therefore LGMS objectives are achieved
  • Responsible for attending client and industry meetings to retain and develop existing technical relationships to ensure that LGMS is the partner of choice and that all commercially viable business will be retained.
  • Develop robust prospect and client and technical relationships, ensuring key stakeholders across the parties are aligned and engaged at all levels regularly, assist them to develop their strategic distribution plans, ensuring that during any formal tender or partner selection process, LGMS is aligned with the key requirements of the lender or 3rd party and therefore to be selected as the partner of choice
  • Provide technical input into proposition development to tailor propositions to win and retain LGMS partners by working with target accounts to understand their business challenges, creating innovative solutions through detailed questioning, and leveraging of internal and external networks.
  • Work as part of the distribution team to support in successfully managing 3rd party relationships from a technical perspective ensuring that all commercially viable business via existing partners are retained and developed. Business plans, heatmaps, SLA's and all contractual agreements are in place and result in LGMS objectives being achieved.
  • Working alongside the Head of Professional Services, provide support and development of technical support for internal and external customers. Successfully nurture these technical relationships ensuring that all commercially viable business via existing partners is retained and developed.   • Support the Head of Strategic Accounts and Head of Professional Services with the governance and process involved in assessing all new and existing clients, participate and contribute to internal governance committees to evidence and support this. ensuring that they are in line with the achievement of LGMS strategy.
  • Seek feedback from customers that aims to identify area's for technical improvement within product design, literature administration, sales processes and provide information to relevant areas where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Fellow, Member or Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with valuation and survey experience in the residential mortgage market.
  • In depth knowledge of RICS Red Book requirements including Guidance Notes and Practice Statements as applicable to residential valuations and surveys with a good working knowledge of lenders' guidance notes and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of the residential survey and valuation industry gained from experience of operating at surveyor level or above. Knowledge of key issues, challenges and new developments facing the surveying industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standard systems, processes and procedures utilised in the business in order to protect the risk profile of the company as a whole.
  • Evidence of good analytical skills and ability to interpret and evaluate information in an orderly, accurate and timely manner in accordance with challenging client requirements/timescales.
  • The ability to provide guidance and advice based upon experience and knowledge in the residential surveying industry.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with key stakeholders, professional partners, customers and suppliers to ensure that the desired requirements are delivered and that all necessary actions are completed.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, to pay attention to detail and to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to continually evaluate and review self-progress against goals with an ability to modify objectives and adapt behaviours to overcome obstacles and to set and assist others to achieve targets.
