Halcyon HSC are working exclusively with an independently run care provider that specialises in support for adults and young people with Autism, learning disabilities and mental health issues.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and highly reputable care provider with an excellent reputation for providing a fresh and vibrant outlook to care within the 16+ sector.

Our client is a supported living provider who holds a CQC registration (currently rated GOOD), and boasts over 50 years’ experience in the industry, with immediate plans to expand in the central Gloucester area.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Deputy Manager to help drive the business forward into its exciting next phase of growth.

What we are looking for in our Deputy Manager:

  • Working on shift to provide hands on support, as well as leading and motivating the current staffing team.
  • To be able to work with the Home Manager to ensure all induction and mandatory trainings are completed.
  • To review care plans, risk assessments and medication administration.
  • Supporting regular staff team meetings to support the development of the team and share good practice and learning as well as changes in legislation and support.
  • Helping to coordinate rotas and on call cover, as well as ensuring shadow shifts for new staff members.
  • Understanding and providing support with: Code of Practice, Confidentiality, On-Call, Whistleblowing, Equality and Diversity, Lone Working, De-brief, Incident and Accident Reporting etc.
