Supported Accommodation Manager (South West)
Gloucester and Bristol

  • Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm
  • Permanent (after 6-month probationary period)
  • £28,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
  • Level 5 NVQ in health and social care or equivariant (degree level) required
  • Full, clean UK driving licence required

Our client is a service provider for Local Authorities, providing semi-supported accommodation to 16-18 year looked after children.

Due to expansion, they are now seeking a Supported Accommodation Manager in the South West area.

About the Role:

As a Supported Accommodation Manager in the South West region, you'll play a pivotal role in our mission. You'll lead a dynamic team in providing semi-supported accommodation to 16-18-year-olds leaving care, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and fostering a positive environment for residents.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Efficiently oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively

Staff Management:

  • Lead, manage, and support the staff team
  • Conduct regular meetings, supervisions, and appraisals

Resident Support:

  • Provide necessary support for independent living skills development
  • Address conflicts and issues as they arise

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with external agencies, local authorities, and professionals
  • Foster positive relations with neighbours and the community

About You:

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Candidate MUST have NVQ (QCF) LEVEL 5 or above in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care
  • MUST have 12 months experience of working with vulnerable young people
  • MUST have a Full, clean UK driving license
  • UP-TO-DATE DBS preferred. Company will apply for right candidate
  • Core/Statutory Training will be provided by company
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Knowledgeable about regulatory environment and statutory requirements
  • Skilled in working with diverse groups
