Supportability (ILS) Engineer
Location: North Yorkshire
Working pattern: Hybrid - Remote with some site/office visits

This role is currently confidential, but we will be able to disclose more information about the client if you are suitable for the role.

What you'll need:

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of defence standards supportability and related specifications
• Already hold, or be able to obtain, Security Clearance
• Knowledge of engineering drawings
• Understanding of the use of ILS Tools to influence the design, such as:

It would also be advantageous to have:

• Experience of engineering systems and maintenance
• DRACAS system implementation and maintenance
• Experience of completing configuration audits

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the Project team (project managers, project engineers and lead engineers) to utilise ILS tools to influence the design of the end product.
• Drafting and developing bespoke ILS Plans in line with the customers' individual contracted service deliverables.
• Providing ILS Plan updates in line with contract amendments.
• Assisting with the definition and development of product support engineering capability, as required by performance-based logistic support contracts.
• Auditing compliance with defined ILS procedures.
• Managing the company's configuration management system to ensure continuity throughout the ILS process.
