Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Support Worker in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a client living with acquired brain injury, living in his own home. The role is part-time (15 hours a week) and is predominantly companionship-based.

We are searching for an experienced Support Worker who shares our belief that disability is not a barrier and doesn’t have to stop anyone from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences. Please note that a full driving license is required for this role.

Salary & Benefits:
  • Competitive pay rates: between £13.00 and £14.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:
  • 10 am – 3 pm, three days a week.

Client and Role:
  • The client lives with an acquired brain injury and lives in his own home.
  • Domestic assistance, shopping, paying bills, and providing general companionship.
  • Driving the client to appointments.
  • Assisting the client with social activities.
  • Prompting the client with daily tasks.

Successful Applicant:
  • Must possess at least 6 months of previous experience with working with clients with a physical disability.
  • Must have a full driving license.
  • Must have access to a laptop to liaise with the clinical team.
