Your new company

You will be working for a children's care company that has a real family feel. The company has been established for 20 years and has two beautiful properties that centre all of their principles on what is best for the children.

Your new role

As a support worker in a 6 bed home for EBD children every day is a challenge. You are an integral part of the team offering safety, comfort and mentorship to children at a very turbulent time in their life. This is a time consuming role that requires you to work with the children to change their unhealthy internalised thought process.
You will also have a lot of fun with the young people in your care, supporting on activities such as the Iron man challenge and prison break.
Shifts run on a 5 days on and 5 days off pattern with an average of 2 sleeps in each 5 day block.
Weekday shift times: 8am to 10pm
Weekend shift times: 8am to 11pm

Sleeps are paid at £40 per night and there is a full staff flat with 4 sperate bedrooms to accommodate you. There is also the option of sleeping every night you are on shift if that is preferable.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally you will have some experience working within the children's care sector but this does not have to be within residential children's care. Due to the location of the home a driving licence is advantageous.

What you'll get in return

You will get a role working within a small business that values you and your input. You will be supported and encouraged in every step of your career. This is a company that people do not like to leave with numerous members of staff having long tenure.
