Our client a supported living provider who has a home located on the outskirts of Taunton require Support Workers to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
 
The role will be supporting adults with learning disabilities in a home setting and you will be assisting with the following:
 
  1. Personal Care: Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming (where necessary)
  2. Household Tasks: Supporting with household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  3. Healthcare Support: Administering medication, arranging medical appointments, and providing basic medical care.
  4. Emotional Support: Offering companionship, listening, and providing emotional support to individuals.
  5. Promoting Independence: Encouraging and enabling individuals to develop life skills for independent living.
  6. Creating Support Plans: Working with individuals to create personalised support plans that address their specific needs and goals.
  7. Advocacy: Representing and advocating for individuals' needs and rights in various situations, including liaising with healthcare providers and social services.
  8. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records and documentation of the care provided.
The role will be working from 7am to 7pm on a 2 week rota pattern of Mondays, Tuesday, Saturdays and Sundays (week 1) and Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (week 2). Based on these days the average working week equates to 42 hours meaning you could earn between £24,000-£26,000 per year!
 
The client is also offering a shift enhancement depending on who you work with and free meals on site.

To be successful in this position all candidate need to have full right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available) and have access to their own transport due to the location of the supported living home.
