Our client is a happy young lady who enjoys close relationships with her care team, she cannot express herself verbally but will make her views and opinions known and needs support staff who are patient and willing to take time to understand her. This will pay off in the long run as working with this young lady is very rewarding! Our client has some complex needs such as therapy exercises, gastrostomy feeding and hoisting, and training will be provided.

The role is for an initial fixed term of 6 months, supporting the client at home and in school with personal care, accessing tasks in the classroom and ensuring that her care needs are met there and therapy and leisure activities.

Previous experience supporting adults or children with learning difficulties and/or complex needs would be preferred.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and it be possible for us to obtain insurance to drive the clients vehicle.

Hours of work

  • Approx 40 – 41.25 hours per week
  • 06:45-15:00 Monday to Friday during term time
  • 08:00-16:00 Monday – Friday during school holidays.

Rate of pay

  • £15.50 weekdays
  • £17.50 weekends

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
