We are recruiting a Support Worker to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis in the Dewsbury area. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13 per hour, and £14 per hour on weekends.

We offer a bespoke Case Management Service for people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those recovering from acquired brain injuries.  We have a reputation for taking on the more complex cases, and constantly strive to provide the most efficient and effective service possible.

Ultimately our aim is to empower and support people to reach their full potential and maximize their rehabilitation opportunities in order to promote the best quality of life.

Working hours:

18 hours per week Permanent - £13.00 per hour / £14.00 per hour weekends

2/3 day shifts per week on a rota basis including some Saturdays & occasional Sundays with a degree of flexible working to support the pursuit of interests in live music. Extra shifts will be available to cover holidays.

The Support Worker Role:

You will join the support team of a young man with a brain injury living with his family. You'll support and contribute towards the planning and delivery of individual care, supporting in all aspects of daily living as our client has physical, sensory & cognitive disabilities and is wheelchair dependent.  

As our Support Worker, you will work with the treating team of therapists (SALT, Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist) to complete therapy programmes, motivate & engage the client in recreational & educational activities.

What we are looking for in our Support Worker:

  • Experience of delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided.
  • Experience of working with young adults with physical & cognitive impairment is essential, the position is suited to someone who has a positive attitude plus the     ability to motivate & engage. 
  • A current driving license is essential with experience of driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle preferrable but not essential as training will be provided
