Pay: £13.40

FULL TIME ONLY

Requirement:

Must have

• 1 year Learning Disability experience (IN THE UK)
• Available full time
• Manual Handling ( pushing wheelchairs is a must)
• Experience in Complex behaviours
• Experience in PMLD ( profound multiple learning disabilities) - some service users have more than one disability and are non verbal

Hours:

Full time - (37.5 hours on a rota basis - Mon-Sun)

What does Support Work involve?

As a support worker you will help people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home. We have positions available across a variety of services in Camden, and Islington.

In each of our services we support approximately 5-10 people. We support people with a range of support needs from low to high; with old age/ dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism/mental health. We also operate outreach services for people who live more independently. We work on a rota which includes working some weekends, early and late shifts. If you prefer to work nights, we also have some services with waking night shifts.

We currently only have vacancies in services where manual handling is an intrinsic and regular part of the job
