Job Description:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in various schools across Southwark, supporting teachers and students in their educational journey. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work between 1 and 5 days per week based on your availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons and providing support to students.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in different school settings and adapt to varying classroom environments.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to undergo one.
