Are you an ECT who is looking for the opportunity to explore a variety of schools in order to find the right primary school environment for you?

At Tradewind, our supply teachers have plenty of opportunities to work with a variety of primary schools in the Barking & Dagenham area. Our client schools regularly come to us for supply teacher bookings which provides you with the opportunity to teach in a variety of schools and year groups in the local area.

We understand how important it is to find the right school for you where you are happy and, with supply work, you can experience different schools to find the perfect placement for you! Our supply bookings can also lead to long-term and even permanent placements without having to interview.

We are currently looking for educators who:

  • Are confident in classroom management, delivering adaptive and responsive teaching
  • Comfortable covering across EYFS, Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2
  • Provide a positive environment for learning, developing powerful learners
  • Confident covering a mixture of subjects in the primary school curriculum
  • Confident in managing behaviour, focusing on using positive behaviour management strategies
  • Have an enhanced child only DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
  • Live in Barking & Dagenham or who are within commutable distance of the Borough

The role will entail:

  • Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and supporting students where required
  • Positive classroom management, promoting good behaviour and engaging students to reach their highest potential
  • Building positive relationships with staff and students alike.
  • Adaptability across a range of subjects
