SUPPLY CHAIN & PROCURMENT SPECIALIST

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 09.00 - 17.00

£35,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

People Solutions are working with one of the most influential and leading manufacturing companies in their industry.

Actively recruiting for a Supply Chain and Procurement Specialist to support their production facility through the sourcing of Raw Materials.

Day to Day Duties

  • Report directly to the Procurement Manager
  • Manage supplier relationships and order books ensuring business requirements are clearly recognised
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure business requirements are met
  • Supplier performance analysis, reviewing the impact of poor performance and implementing the action plan
  • Participate in multi site supplier business reviews
  • Work within a cross functional team to ensure successful work package transfers in the Supply Chain
  • Support effective implementation of supplier performance strategy and initiatives
  • Manage internal expectations with key customers to ensure full customer satisfaction
  • Order book management
  • Analyse, process, confirm and communicate requirements to the supplier
  • Negotiate dead-lines & quantities to meet business needs
  • Maintain ERP and manage inventory
  • Review and upload the supplier schedules

Essential Skills

  • Good working knowledge of ERP system (ideally SAP) and MRP2 Principles
  • Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate in Word & Excel to include an intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Previous experience in negotiating and influencing
  • Proven experience of building relationships with suppliers
  • Knowledge and experience in engineering raw material & forging commodities and processes
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK 

Desirable Experience

Experience within the Aerospace Engineering industry would be extremely beneficial.

Training

Company policy and procedural training will be provided if successful.
