SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager with a wholesale distributor of FMCG, specialising in beauty, healthcare, and pharmaceutical products. The company, which partners with recognised premium brands, is seeking a skilled individual with experience in international logistics for markets including the UK, USA, EU, Middle East, and China.

The role’s primary purpose is to optimise the company’s supply chain, logistics, and distribution operations to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.

Day to day of the role:

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Develop and present reports on the performance of logistics operations.
  • Utilise logistics and inventory management software to track and manage supply chain activities.
  • Analyse and monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement managers and customers on product selection and availability.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
  • Manage logistics, warehouse, and transport services to optimise delivery routes and schedules.
  • Plan and analyse budgets and expenditures to maintain financial health.
  • Enforce industry laws and regulations as well as company policies to maintain high standards.
  • Resolve complaints and issues related to the supply chain, maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain customer service logs and safety records to uphold service quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager, particularly in international logistics.
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors.
  • Excellent management and leadership abilities to oversee logistics teams.
  • Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective logistics strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor inventory levels and logistics performance.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry laws.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve supply chain issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Imports & Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) experience desirable
