Supply Chain Manager

Permanent, Hybrid, 37.5 hrs p/wk, Leicester (LE1)

Salary upto: £45,000p/a +Hybrid + free car park + benefits

Our client is seeking a permanent Supply Chain Manager in Facilities/Property Management this role plays a crucial part for the business in ensuring the efficient procurement, coordination, and management of goods and services necessary for the upkeep and operation of facilities and properties.

  1. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies for sourcing goods and services required for facilities and property management. This involves identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and establishing partnerships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  1. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. This includes regular communication, performance evaluations, and addressing any issues or concerns to ensure that suppliers meet the required standards of quality, reliability, and responsiveness.
  1. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of supplies and equipment necessary for property maintenance and operations. Develop systems for tracking inventory, forecasting demand, and optimizing stock levels to minimize excess or shortage of supplies while avoiding unnecessary costs.
  1. Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate the logistics of transporting goods and equipment to and from facilities. This involves selecting appropriate transportation methods, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely delivery to meet operational needs while minimizing transportation costs and disruptions.
  1. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations related to the procurement and handling of goods and services. Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions in supply, price fluctuations, or supplier dependencies.
  1. Cost Management: Monitor and control costs associated with procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations. Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process optimization, negotiation with suppliers, and implementation of cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
  1. Technology and Systems Integration: Implement and utilize technology solutions, such as supply chain management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, to streamline procurement processes, track inventory, and improve visibility across the supply chain. Integrate systems with other relevant departments to facilitate data sharing and collaboration.
  1. Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes and practices to enhance efficiency, responsiveness, and resilience. This includes conducting regular performance reviews, analyzing key metrics, and implementing process improvements and best practices.
  1. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with other departments, such as facilities management, finance, and operations, to align supply chain activities with organizational goals and objectives. Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders to ensure that supply chain activities meet their needs and expectations.
