Role: Supply Chain Manager
Salary: Dependant on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday
Shifts: 8.30am – 4.45pm (3.30pm finish on Friday)
Location: Wolverhampton, WV2 (Free Parking on Site)
Benefits: 33 days holiday (Inc BH), Standard Pension
We’re looking to recruit a professional, and experienced Supply Chain Manager or Purchasing Manager to identify, lead and drive improvements within our supply base, purchasing systems, inventory management and material costs.
For the right individual, we have the scope to develop this into a Group Supply Chain Manager or Group Purchasing Manager role, whereby you will ensure synergies across our parent group of companies and drive bot group wide and company specific improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement a company purchasing strategy to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Identify, select, appraise and develop our supply base, to ensure effective supplier performance
- Establish procurement and purchasing systems, and implement robustly within the business
- Analyse, evaluate and report Supply Chain & Procurement related data to identify opportunities for improvements
- Lead stock control and valuation processes
- Create purchasing procedures and working practices and develop a buyer to perform the day to day purchasing tasks within the systems you have created
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards, both from an internal process and supplier perspective
Essential Experience:
- Ideally looking for someone who can demonstrate savings and process improvements
- 5 years’ experience as a confident purchaser or supply chain professional
- Experience within the Engineering and Manufacturing Industry
- Experience within a SME environment, working with world class systems and teams
- Proven ability to pragmatically implement best practice around the challenges of the business
- Commercial acumen
