We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong desire to kickstart their career in Procurement and Supply Chain. As aSupply Chain Degree Apprentice, you’ll develop the skills our business needs to identify, procure, and distribute the vital parts that enable Stannah to build the world-class products we are known for.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be an important part of a large Procurement team and will support in a range of procurement activities across Stannah. This will include negotiating and collaborating with suppliers, consulting with internal and external key stakeholders, supporting the benchmarking and supplier auditing process, and the culture of best practice principles. You will work closely with other areas of the business, such as global manufacturing sites, Engineering, Material Control and Quality, so having effective communication and customer service skills and ability to work as part of our team is essential.

What we are offering:

The programme offers passionate and ambitious individuals the chance to gain real work experience and earn a salary, while studying for a degree in Supply Chain Leadership. You will be developed and mentored by a team of Procurement professionals to allow you to perform processes essential for the smooth operations of our global direct materials Procurement function, gaining valuable on the job skills whilst working towards a recognised qualification. You will study the Supply Chain Leadership and Management Professional Degree Apprenticeship which will support you with the knowledge, expertise, and practical experience to excel in your role and pave the way for future career progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries and resolve delivery and quality issues.
  • Deliver cost savings through negotiation with suppliers.
  • Support problem solving initiatives with suppliers to determine root causes analysis, reliability issues and ensure preventative actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Support production teams to achieve production output targets.
  • Work with new product introduction teams and suppliers to deliver cost reduction through component re-design, material changes and supply chain methodologies.
  • Timely implementation of purchase orders for materials.
  • Support team members with ERP data maintenance (lead-times, payment terms, etc).

Requirements

  • At least four GCSEs Grade 9-4 (A*- C) including Maths and English
  • Two subjects at A-Levels (Grade C or above)
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Is self-aware and aware of the impact of their actions and behaviours on others.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude in a constantly changing environment.
  • Initiative-taking approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to remain calm and level-headed under pressure.
  • Diligence and willingness to learn and apply new concepts.
  • Confidence in verbal, face to face and written communication.
  • Good listening skills.
