We are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team at a prestigious healthcare facility. The role is pivotal in ensuring that an effective and efficient materials management service is provided, exceeding client expectations both personally and at a team level. The successful candidate will influence and encourage clients towards product standardisation and the realisation of cash savings.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Represent and promote the efficiency of managed services in line with corporate values.
  • Support the Site Manager in delivering the managed service effectively and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Provide advice to customers, liaise with suppliers, and use persuasive skills to enhance performance and delivery within the Supply Chain Service.
  • Develop, amend, and implement Supply Chain policies and procedures to enhance the service.
  • Purchase goods and services, ensuring contract compliance and standardisation initiatives are utilised.
  • Train and support Supply Chain Coordinators, ensuring service levels exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead routine material management reviews, recommending cost-effective stock holding strategies.
  • Schedule and complete biannual stock review meetings, documenting changes for audit purposes.
  • Manage team member work allocation, appraisals, absence, recruitment, and personal development with the support of the Site Manager.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels using a Stock and Inventory Management Solution, balancing cost improvement with patient care.
  • Develop relationships with other departments, providing specialist supply chain knowledge to maximise clinical outputs.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and timely ordering within supply systems.
  • Ensure the availability of manual handling equipment for safe lifting duties in line with Trust Policy.
  • Use negotiation and influencing skills to persuade clients to maximise cost-effectiveness and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Lead and communicate potential Supply Chain problems to customers, ensuring stock availability.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Site Manager, Coordinators, and Equipment Lead.
  • Provide comprehensive procurement support and deliver discrete procurement work to specification, on-time and within budget.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Specialist supply chain knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and procurement systems.
  • Advanced keyboard skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a large team.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Awareness of policies and procedures and their impact on others.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet specific deadlines.
  • Commitment, enthusiasm, and drive to ensure timely delivery of the supply chain service.
  • Trustworthiness and confidentiality.
  • Team player with interactive skills at all levels internally and externally.
