Seize the opportunity to join a growing team responsible for validating the external supply chain, ensuring successful delivery of parts required to support Development programmes in preparation for full rate Production. This role is perfect for an individual with experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Project delivery. You will handle a portfolio of suppliers on a daily basis and manage the project Industrial Validation Plan. This role offers the chance to assess and validate the supply chain and suppliers' capability to meet our requirements, undertake Industrial Validation activities, identify potential manufacturing & supply chain risks and put in place associated improvement and mitigation plans.

What you'll do:

As a Supplier Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers, ensuring their capabilities align with our stringent requirements. Your expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Project Delivery will be crucial in undertaking Industrial Validation activities such as Process FMEAs, MRL assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews. You will also be instrumental in identifying potential manufacturing & supply chain risks, devising robust improvement and mitigation plans. Your collaborative approach will be key in working closely with Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organisations.

Manage a portfolio of suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
Handle the project Industrial Validation Plan.
Assess and validate the supply chain and suppliers' capability to meet our requirements.
Undertake Industrial Validation activities such as: Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production.
Identify potential manufacturing & supply chain risks and put in place associated improvement and mitigation plans.
Handle & validate elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in house to supplier.


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Supplier Validation Engineer role is a Manufacturing Engineering professional with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques. You have an appreciation for project delivery and management, with experience in manufacturing or supplier quality in the Aerospace or Defence environments. Your ability to support suppliers and customers in developing robust manufacturing systems and control plans is crucial. You are proficient in Industrial Validation tools such as Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, MRL assessments, Production Readiness Reviews. Your excellent problem-solving skills enable you to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain for manufacturing system deviations.

Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
Appreciation for project delivery/project management.
Experience of manufacturing or supplier quality in the Aerospace or Defence environments is desirable.
Capability of supporting suppliers / customers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans.
Proficiency in Industrial Validation tools such as: Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, MRL assessments, Production Readiness Reviews.
Excellent problem-solving skills to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain for manufacturing system deviations.
