Are you looking to fully utilise your skills within a highly skilled and multi-functional team, in a role which enables ongoing training and development, specifically with their cutting edge products which are supplied across Europe, Asia and the Middle East?

The company area highly reputable manufacturer, leading the way in the design and manufacture of high power electrical resistors, and they are currently looking to expand within the automotive and industrial sectors. They currently exceed £10 million turnover, with 90 employees, supplying to OEM's and end users throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Their products have a diverse range of applications, including power resistors for power quality, and neutral earthing for MV and HV network systems.

They are currently experiencing increasing demand for their products, therefore seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage all suppliers, monitor ongoing performance, identify and assess new potential suppliers and work on guidelines and regulations for material and suppliers.

The Role:

• Select and monitor suppliers, monitoring their performance ongoing to ensure efficiency, and a high degree of quality through evaluation and analysis of samples and key materials
• Develop a strong supplier base, and maintain good supplier relationships
• Work on New Product Introduction in the supply chain, liaising closely with a multi-functional team
• Work with Design & Engineering team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements
• Lead the supplier approval process
• Facilitate Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues
• Supplier site visits

The Person:

• Experience in a similar role - Supply chain / Quality
• Desired: Understanding of engineering drawings (mechanical & electrical) / manufacturing processes
