Nurture Fostering is a small family run independent fostering agency based in Lewisham South East London. We are currently looking to recruit a Supervising social worker to provide professional support and supervision to our foster carers whilst promoting the safe care and development of the foster children in order for them to achieve their full potential. Supervising social workers currently carry a case-load 8-10 foster carers.

Newly qualified social workers with an interest in fostering or placement experience in fostering will be considered for this role.

The successful applicant would need to hold an appropriate social work qualification: CQSW, DipSW or CSS and to be registered with Social Work England. In addition to this requirement you will need to have experience of either working in the fostering sector or with Looked after children, a current driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

The role of the Supervising Social Worker is to support and nurture the foster carers, conduct and participate in Form F assessments, participate in learning and development for both yourself and the foster carers. Participation and support in attending either in person or virtually: PEP’s. LAC reviews and other professional meetings as required by the placements.
In return you will be fully supported and will attend regular and ongoing supervision and training to enhance your career.  Your caseloads would be monitored and lower than the industry average.
