Superintendent Radiographer MRI required for a large independent Private Hospital Group in London to Manage Satellite sites.

We are looking for an exceptional Leader to join our Imaging Management Team.

Job Summary:

Full-time: 37.5 hours over 5 days a week. (between the hours of 07:30 and 20:00)

Salary: Depending on experience will range from £54,000 to £60,000. Plus generous Benefits.

The MRI service is complex and busy, delivering the most comprehensive imaging and a 5 star patient experience in world class facilities. The role requires an exceptional MRI radiographer who can work across all disciplines within the MRI/Radiology field. Strong MRI experience and recent CT experience essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the satellite centres
  • Carry out a full range of scans to a high standard.
  • Ensure high quality imaging is provided to our consultants
  • Lead on Risk Management including the observation and compliance of safety checks, procedures, and policies to ensure a safe imaging environment.
  • Line management of MRI radiographers/ cross sectional radiographers and the team including emotional and professional support to staff.
  • Be an active part in the Senior Management Team for Imaging.
  • Leadership the MRI department and direct growth and development.
  • Oversee and manage bookings & schedules to optimise capacity in line with service requirements.
  • Manage the training of radiographers within the MRI service and oversee and facilitate up-to-date competency frameworks for staff.
  • Be involved MRI Non-Ionising Radiation User Group, and report into the Local Radiation Protection Committee to ensure department is compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Liaise with service engineers and bookings team in response to any equipment faults as well as routine servicing, coordinating possible contingency arrangements as part of business continuity.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures within the radiology department and ensure compliance is maintained and monitored.

Skills/Experience :

  • Essential: HCPC registration
  • Essential: Degree in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent)
  • Essential: Extensive experience in MRI and CT scanning with recent xray experience.
  • Essential: Departmental Management/Leadership experience.
  • Desirable: MSc Diagnostic Radiography
