Superintendent Radiographer MRI Adult and Paediatrics

London

Permanent, Full Time. 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and on call working patterns. (Paid additionally to base salary)

Salary up to £60,000 per annum DOE plus benefits.

We are recruiting for a Senior MRI Radiographer to provide highly skilled services in Adult and Paediatrics. The role will require experience in GA imaging and cardiac imaging.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Skilfully provide accurate diagnostic imaging services by operating Imaging equipment in accordance with operational procedures and ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out.
  • Conduct oneself professionally at all times and achieve and maintain high standards of practice within the department practising high levels of customer care.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to maximise clinical efficiency.
  • Assist in staff and students with orientation and training.
  • Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported to the correct parties.
  • Deputise for the Radiology superintendent.
  • Provide high standards of patient care and safety.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong MRI experience
  • Paediatric experience is desirable
  • Experience in Cardiac MR is desirable
  • Experience in GA MRI is desirable
  • Be familiar with PACS and RIS software system
  • Be familiar with undertaking audits
  • Have initiative and provide high level of customer care
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Work as a team player, ensuring cover is provided at all times across all modalities, maximising clinical efficiency
  • Training Staff as required
  • General Administration for the MRI department and imaging department as required
  • Participate in an on-call rota and flexible shift pattern
  • To deputise for the MRI Superintendent as required

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiology
  • HCPC Registered
  • Extensive post qualification experience.
