Your new company
Working with over 65% of Wirral primary schools, Hays Education is the only agency with two dedicated consultants servicing the Wirral area, due to the consistently high demand for cover teachers from our schools. Many of our schools work with us through dedicated partnership and exclusivity agreements. You can be assured of our personal attention and expertise at all times, and regular work that meets your needs and availability.

Your new role
We are looking for flexible primary school teachers to meet the expected demand for supply teaching cover over the summer term. You will be working in a range of schools across the Wirral, covering classes from EYFS to Year 6, with PPA cover, intervention and booster-based work also a possibility. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils and the school's expectations, which are normally pre-planned by the school. You will also be expected to follow the school's policies and safeguarding procedures, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times.

The work may be booked with you either in advance or on a last minute basis on the morning the cover is needed. We will work around your availability and are interested in talking to teachers available on a full or part-time basis.

To be eligible for Wirral primary supply teaching work over the summer term you must have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
  • A strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Competitive rates of pay
  • Weekly pay through PAYE
  • Option to pay into pension
