We are currently recruiting for seasonal Summer Scheme Leaders for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
Based at one of the Leisure Centres, Community Settings or on a Rural scheme throughout the borough including but not limited to: Sixmile, Valley, Ballyearl, Merville, Crumlin, Lilian Bland, and, Glengormley.
Pay Rate: £12.18 per hour

The ideal candidate:
As this post involves the supervision of children, all candidates must be 18 years of age or over by 22 July 2024.
Experience supervising and working with children is essential.
Available for the full duration of the scheme- core duration 17th July- 23rd August. (If you require time off this should be advised at time of application).
You will also be required to attend essential Induction Training, provisional date for the training is Thursday 30 May 2024.
If successful in application, an Enhanced Access NI check will be required before starting in the role; payment for this is the responsibility of the candidate (£33).

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the development and delivery of a balanced summer scheme programme for a range of young people of varying interests and abilities.

2. Supervise attendees whilst on site and on trips.

3. Collect money as required and store securely for collection by the Senior Leader.

4. General cleaning of area after each activity.

5. Comply with the Council's Policies and procedures, including those relating to health and safety, well- being and safeguarding and equal opportunities.

6. Promote equality and diversity by demonstrating appropriate behaviours in line with Council values.

7. Provide a high level of customer service including taking ownership of customer queries and complaints and where appropriate forward these to the Senior Leader for resolution.

8. Work outside normal working hours as required. Normal working hours are Monday- Friday 930-330pm.

9. Any other duties as requested by the Senior Leader.
