Hunter Mental Health is currently working alongside a great Substance Misuse Team through an NHS Trust who proudly boast being one of the most diverse providers of within physical and mental health healthcare. 

The Service is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. They also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

Surrey is a beautiful county lying just 30 minutes away from Central London and from the South Coast.

The historic market towns and bustling districts are enveloped in wonderful countryside, and our excellent road and rail networks bring the rest of the country within easy reach.

For international travel, both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are nearby.

Key details of the position:

  • Job Title - Substance Misuse Specialist (Registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker)
  • Location - Near Chertsey, Surrey
  • Duration - 6 months on going
  • Schedule -  Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm 
  • Start Date - April 2024
  • End Date - October 2024
  • Rate of pay - £25.09 to £27.15 p/h

Requirements and qualifications required for this role:

  • Current and valid registration with the NMC or Social Work England.
  • Proven experience within a substance misuse team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Car Driver and Access to a vehicle for business purposes.

Working hours and contract duration:

This position will require you to work from Monday to Friday, but hours can be flexible. The contract is for 6 months (Nov 23 to Apr 24).
