Are you a University Student in your 2nd or 3rd year studying Chemical Engineering? Are you now looking for a one-year intern placement?

Here at British Gypsum, we're offering a Process Engineering placement at our site in East Leake Nottinghamshire.

What will I be doing?

  • An active member of Process team investigating reactive issues.
  • Analysing breakdowns and assisting with root cause analysis activities
  • Liaising with Operators and Control Engineers on project works and reactive works.
  • Update daily, weekly and monthly KPIs on team improvement boards (Including project boards, Pillar boards and central systems)
  • Running environmental and cost saving projects
  • Assist team on developing systems on data collection and process data collection.
  • Working in an active manufacturing site

What will I need to be considered?

  • Must be in an active university course studying Chemical Engineering or a related Science degree (2nd or 3rd year)
  • Knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics &, Heat and Mass Balance)
  • Ability to working cross-functionally and communicate effectively.
  • Understand and identify process bottlenecks from upstream to downstream, throughput capacity, limitations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
