Job role: Student Casework Officer/Manager (Complaints and Conduct)
Location: East Sussex
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: minimum 3 months possibly longer
Pay rate: £101 -121 per day plus holiday pay
Hybrid Working: 3 days onsite, 2 days work from home

Join a leading higher education institution in the Sussex area in their Directorate for the Student Experience division due to the growth of the team a new role has arisen. We are seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Student Casework Officer/Manager (Complaints and Conduct).

As a Student Casework Officer/Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing casework related to student complaints, discipline, and liaison with external bodies.

Your responsibilities as a Student Casework Officer/Manager, will include:

  • Manage all aspects of student casework, ensuring compliance with university procedures and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues handling complex and sensitive cases.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of revised processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support and mentor a team of Student Casework Officers, ensuring the timely delivery of outcomes.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for students, staff, and external parties involved in casework.

To be a successful in the role you will require:

  • Experience working with regulations and procedures related to complaints and disciplinary processes in higher education
  • Have an strong understanding of OIA cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
