Initial projects they will be working on - Likely schemes include a residential project in Birmingham involving extensive river regeneration works, a high rise building in Cardiff.
Job Description
- leading a project and working as part of a collaborative design team
- mentoring new members of staff
- preparing reports, designs and drawings
- making calculations about loads and stresses
- selecting appropriate construction materials
- providing technical advice
- liaising with relevant professional staff such as architects
- monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
- administering contracts
- site visits will be required from time to time
Role requirements
- Degree in structural Engineering
- confident representing the business at Client and Design Team Meetings as required.
- Chartered status (near Chartered)
- Ideally experience working in concrete and use of Tekla
