A requirement has arisen for a Structural Engineer with experience in structural design to join a growing dynamic business in the North West design team.

  • Reporting to the Associate Director, this role will be instrumental in the growth of the company and supporting the growth of the northern design team.
  • The successful candidate will be passionate about digital technology and the benefits it brings to their profession.
  • They actively encourage their staff to bring forward new, exciting ideas to help shape their future.

Duties:

  • Delivering design calculations for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, impact, flooding and storm damage
  • Completing site visits for residential and commercial building projects
  • Delivering small to medium design projects
  • Ensuring that the team reaches the monthly sales targets by driving business development
  • Reporting to the Associate Director and providing progress reports
  • Developing new ideas to help shape the future of the business

About You:

  • Good degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (essential)
  • 2 years post graduate design experience (essential)
  • Proficiency in IT systems (essential)
  • A general understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber (essential)
  • MICE or MIStructE (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, ensuring great customer service
  • Excellent work ethic, willing to go above and beyond to support the company growth
  • Passionate about new technologies, progressive change and continuous improvement
  • Car owner and UK driving licence, able to travel to site
  • All aspects of Microsoft Office
  • Industry standard structural design software
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCad/Revit

Structural Engineer (Design) - 37.5 hours per week with flexible hybrid working - Northwest, Liverpool, Manchester /Warrington and surrounding areas.
