Job Description:

The Stores and Dispatch Manager will oversee the storage, inventory, and dispatch operations at Impress Group, ensuring efficient processes and the highest quality of service in the delivery of engineering components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimise all aspects of the warehouse and dispatch operations
  • Plan and co-ordinate the incoming / outgoing of goods, storage and dispatch of all items in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage all stock and delivery information on our Emax ERP system
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance measures related to packaging and shipment
  • Coordinate with the supply chain, sales and production teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and enforce SOPs for handling, storing, and shipping products
  • Oversee and maintain internal stock audits
  • Responsibility for company vehicles including legal requirements and vehicle tracking systems
  • Lead, train, and evaluate the performance of the warehouse and dispatch team
  • Manage logistics and liaise with transport providers
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment

About you:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a warehouse or dispatch setting, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Fully conversant in ERP or MRP systems with a complete understanding of warehouse software packages.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office
  • An understanding in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications would be an advantage
