Stock Controller / Storesperson with a professional positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team, with strong attention to detail is required for a well-established and leading print solution and telecoms provider based in Hertford, Hertfordshire.

SALARY: £25,000 per annum + Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hertford, Hertfordshire (SG13)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Stock Controller / Storespersonwith a professional positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.

Working as a Stock Controller / Storespersonyou will join the Stores department, reporting to the Stock Supervisor. A stores background and experience in using Vantage would be preferred but is not essential.

As a Stock Controller / Storesperson you will be responsible for ensuring the ordering and delivery of parts in and out of the warehouse to support internal and external customers.

DUTIES

Your duties as Stock Controller / Storespersonwill include:

  • Day to day usage of the stock control system
  • Monitor and process all RTF and Customer Fit calls placed by engineers and customers in a timely manner as agreed
  • Update all RTF and Customer Fit calls with ETA’s and information required by internal and external customers
  • Ordering parts from approved suppliers list to the limits defined by Stock Supervisor
  • The safe and orderly storage of stock parts
  • Picking and packing part orders to be shipped to engineers and customers using various delivery companies
  • Checking, verifying and reconciliation of physical parts to documentation both in and out
  • Participate in periodic stock take of parts including engineer car stocks and site stocks, Reporting all findings to stock manager
  • Internal communication and collaboration within the service department

  • Strong communication skills
  • A Stores background with experience in using Vantage would be preferred
