Stock Controller - Mandarin/Cantonese Speaking

Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Loss Prevention team as a Stock Controller. If you are fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and have a passion for maintaining stock integrity, we want to hear from you!

As a Stock Controller, you will work closely with the Stock Audit Manager to ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, with a particular focus on maintaining the accuracy of our stock files. Your primary objective will be to deliver and maintain an accurate stock file while reducing shrinkage in line with our company's targets for a specific store location.

The Candidate

  • Fluent in both Mandarin or Cantonese.
  • Previous experience in stock control or loss prevention is highly advantageous
  • Retail & distribution experience is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards in store stock rooms, ensuring proper categorization and labelling of bays.
  • Clear outstanding deliveries following the correct procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with back-office procedures for accepting deliveries and adjusting stock.
  • Manage shrinkage and minimize it by consistently adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct weekly counts on key categories and high-risk lines as specified by the business and Stock Audit Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with regular actions issued through store briefings on loss prevention stock issues.
  • Properly process damages in the store system, including store damages, warehouse damages, customer returns, out-of-date items, and known theft.
  • Focus on specific departments as specified to meet business needs.
  • Regularly conduct planned counts on 20 high-risk lines.
  • Check off all deliveries using the relevant delivery notes.
  • Book in all deliveries within 48 hours of receipt after thorough checks.
  • Report any discrepancies from deliveries within 24 hours.
  • Count all relevant categories and lines as specified by the business and Stock Audit Manager and make necessary adjustments following the correct process.
  • Manage and control weekly store write-offs.
  • Perform checks on SNS (Stock Notification System) and negative reports, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to order required stock for the store based on the stock file.
