We are working with an affordable housing provider to assist them with their search for an interim Stock Condition Surveyor.

The main function of the role

  • To undertake surveys and reports, relating to the condition of the housing stock, that will inform strategic investment decisions, in addition to determining the age and lifetime of key building components (e.g., roof, windows, kitchens and bathrooms).

Key duties will include:

  • Collecting accurate stock condition data on all properties; to ensure properties remains in good condition, maximizing the value of the assets.
  • Undertake surveys of the housing stock to ascertain the condition of each individual property and remaining life of key building elements, determining works required and estimating investment costs as part of a rolling stock survey programme.
  • Ensure that policies are adhered to, specifically asbestos, legionella, gas safety, fire safety, disrepair and health and safety.
  • Ensure that all information within IT systems is accurate and update the stock condition data base.

To apply for this position we are looking for:

  • Relevant professional building / surveying related qualification or equivalent proven experience of carrying out a programme of stock condition surveys.
  • Knowledge of compliance issues related to social housing.
  • Ability to keeping accurate records.
  • Excellent standards of customer service
  • IT literate
