We are looking for 2 Stock condition surveyors to join the team on a 12-month contrat here at settle. Working as part of a team within the Investment and Asset team you will help to ascertain the condition of settle's housing stock and be instrumental in determining workstreams to keep the stock in good condition, meeting decency standards and providing an environment where customers are proud to live.  

Requirements

You will:

  • Liaise with residents to appoint stock condition surveys on a pre-determined rolling programme.
  • Accurately undertaking partial and complete stock condition surveys across all settle owned properties, internally, externally and common areas.
  • Carrying out validation of existing data to inform future work programmes.
  • Deal with queries from the surveys and data collected.
  • Identify and pass on necessary responsive repairs identified during surveys.
  • Work closely with the Data & Programme lead to identify areas of poor data and to validate programme data.

We are looking for someone who has..

  • A good understanding of energy efficiency and HHSRS.
  • Has an excellent understanding of building components and can determine those component life cycles.
  • Be familiar with the Decent Homes standard guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, bringing enthusiasm and a ‘can-do' attitude.
  • The ability to undertake stock condition surveys from day one.
  • A good understanding of building elements and why they fail.

Is able to:

  • Understand component life cycles
  • Prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
  • Work methodically with attention to detail

  • Good health and safety knowledge
  • Hold accreditation for Domestic Energy Assessments (EPC)
