STOCK BUYER Mon-Fri 08.00 - 16.30 £30,000 - £32,200

As a Stock Buyer you will be responsible for the procurement of all parts, material, and commodities. Ensuring the health and safety of staff, approved suppliers / contractors, the minimisation of impact to the environment and achieving expectations in terms of service and quality.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, 

Duties

• Ensure group procurement strategies and policies are implemented on site.

• Create and implement local KPI’s to track purchasing needs and deliver increased value.

• Manage relationships with all suppliers to achieve greater efficiencies and cost savings.

• Work with on site stakeholders to define scope of services and specifications for goods and services and identify suitable suppliers.

• Ensure all hire plant and equipment adheres to group policy.

• Order materials and services as per Group IMS procedures, seeking approval as necessary.

• Management of the stock ensuring parts are ordered in line with requirements.

• Management of data for parts in MRP stock system and providing stock reports.

• Review quotations, make recommendations and negotiate terms and conditions with key suppliers.

• Manage the preparation, approval and issue purchase orders in accordance with Group company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.

• Receipting of purchase orders and resolving any invoice queries

• Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.

• Participate in Group wide Procurement activities and liaise with Group team as required.

• Manage the stock of critical spares

• Negotiate and implement annual pricing agreements for frequently purchased stock items
