Our client, an established organisation who operate in the financial services sector are seeking a SQL Database Administrator to join their dynamic team based in Taunton. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working across complex databases, SQL and cloud-based data solutions
The role offers Hybrid Working, with access to the Taunton office 2-3 days a week.
Working hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 5:00, 37 hours per week, with occasional out of hours support.
Main responsibilities include:
- Support in the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of databases
- Data and Analytics solution
- Implement and maintain database security best practices
- Conduct regular backups, restore operations and disaster recovery
- Providing support for database related issues
Skills & qualifications requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
- Experience in administrating Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Strong understanding of database relational concepts and SQL
- Capable of deploying Azure solutions using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with PowerShell
- Experience with the following software would be desirable - Databricks platform and Microsoft Fabric
