Due to continued growth, MG Engineering has a wonderful opportunity for a Spray Painter/General Labourer to join their friendly, dedicated team in Flint.

About the role:

As a Paint Sprayer/General Labourer you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, priming and finished coating of our range of products from small components up to large structural steel assemblies.

The Paint Sprayer’s core duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Adherence to relevant H&S, COSHH regulations.
  • Preparing and cleaning all steel ready for painting.
  • Spray painting primer and finish coat to required quality levels
  • Achieving targets for daily output to ensure workflow.
  • Packing and preparing finished product for shipping.


About you:

Experience within a Spraying Department as part of a Fabrication company or Automotive Company is essential for this role. In addition, you will possess the following key skills and experience:

  • Experience of using air operated spray guns including cleaning and maintenance.
  • Preparation of steel including fettling, spatter removal and visual inspection. 
  • Experience of spraying single and 2-pack paint systems.
  • Valid FLT licence (desirable)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a related industry.
  • Efficient and logical methodology for ‘packing’ preparing product for shipping.
